1997 Taylor Vintage Port

Very deep purple/red. Punchy stewed damson fruit on the nose with lots of alcohol and subtle vanilla notes. Intensely sweet and juicy, with a warm, spicy, layered palate of damsons and a hint of bitter bark. Amazingly drinkable with tannins almost completely submerged. Still far too young though - very good.
