1996 Penfolds Bin 407 Cabernet Sauvignon

Opaque red/purple with some fading at rim. Very viscous.
Great depth on the nose, brooding and young with stewed red berry fruit, herbs and lots of alcohol - hot climate!
Fat with sweet cassis and pepper flavours, ripe tannins, fresh acidity, good length and a dry finish.
Very young, but high quality.
[Guess: Rhone Syrah, ouch]
